Changelog

What's new in DealerRecord.

Free public tools

  • A free Minnesota used car tax and fees calculator, built on the same math as the deal worksheet.
  • A free VIN decoder using official NHTSA data.

DealerRecord is live

  • DealerRecord.com is live on its own server with HTTPS, Google sign-in, and nightly database backups.

A faster deal worksheet

  • The worksheet now follows how Minnesota dealers quote a deal: price, deal type, fees and registration, trade-in, then the customer and vehicle.
  • Start a deal blank for a quick quote, then pick an in-stock car or saved customer, or type them in.
  • Outside financing: the lien holder, lien fee, down payment, and amount financed print on the contract.

Inventory on your phone and a Forms page

  • The inventory list fits a phone: price, cost, and days on lot at a glance, with no sideways scrolling.
  • A Forms page lists the printable dealership forms on the way.

Logistics, listing status, and your own lists

  • Track cars that are not on the lot yet: awaiting pickup, in transit, or at a vendor, grouped by place with due dates.
  • Mark each car For sale, Open to offers, Coming soon, or Not for sale.
  • Keep your own lists of auctions and sources, locations, and vendors, added right from the form.
  • The deal page is now the hub for each sale, with live totals and the next step up front.

VIN-first inventory and sale paperwork

  • Type a VIN and the year, make, model, trim, and specs fill in automatically.
  • Each vehicle has one page that you edit in place, plus a lot summary of cost, asking, and projected gross.
  • Completing a sale freezes numbered PDF paperwork. Corrections and voids keep the full history.

Minnesota deal pricing

  • Deal pricing with Minnesota sales tax, the $10 in-lieu tax, registration, doc fee limits, and county wheelage tax.

First version

  • Inventory with purchase costs and expenses, customers, dealership settings, and deals.
